It has been a busy first quarter for most Realtors in

Inventory levels for housing in the far west suburbs of Chicago continues to increase slightly.

the Fox Valley, however, housing inventory numbers are still increasing .

49 % of homes sold in Kane county in 2012 were distressed sales. 6546 residential properties sold in 2012 according to MRED MLS and of these 3216 were distressed sales. A distressed property is a short sale, foreclosure, auction or court ordered sale.

Excellence in a school district  is a major component in making your housing choice.

The Fox Valley continues to achieve  noteworthy recognition for academic achievement. A recent example of this is the following list of school districts in the western suburbs that have achieved recognition by the AP college board as having increases in access to AP level courses and/or  maintained or improved the rate at which students achieved a “3″ or higher on an AP exam.

St. Charles district #303

Only 539 public school district in the US made the AP honor roll. Congratulations!

Red Gate Bridge Opens

The long-awaited Red Gate Road Bridge opened this past weekend. The bridge  provides access across the Fox River north of St. Charles and joins IL  State Route 25 and Route 31.
